Which golf club should you buy?

The three common types of golf clubs are wood, iron and putter.

    • Wood Golf Clubs
Wood golf clubs (numbered from 1 to 7) are long-range clubs used at the beginning of every hole when you tee off. The Driver (1-wood) has the lowest amount of loft and is the longest – both in terms of the actual length of the club and distance it plays.
Woods have large, rounded club heads with a flat front where you strike the golf ball.
    • Iron Golf Clubs
Iron golf clubs are used after teeing off; you can recognize them by the extreme angle of the club heads, heavier clubhead, shorter shafts to maximize accuracy for shots at shorter distances than wood clubs
Irons are numbered from 1 to 9. The lower the golf club number is, the lower the flight, the further it will travel but the harder it is to control. Depending on the distance the player wants to hit and his ability, the golfer will choose a suitable club. Therefore, every golfer has more iron clubs than any other golf clubs in their bag!
    • Putter Golf Clubs
Putters are easy to remember because they have short shafts and smaller club heads. Golfers will normally use those to finally hit the ball into the cup on every hole.

A golf club has 3 main parts including the clubhead, shaft and grip, in which the shaft is the most essential.
    • The clubhead: Generally, the larger the club head, the more forgiveness your swing has. Although you can make a poor hit and still achieve a good result with an oversized head.
    • The shaft:
Graphite shafts are less durable, lighter, and more suitable to golfers who do not need the extra boost of swing speed .
Steel shafts are much more durable and heavier, provides the golfer with a feeling of steady control over the clubhead during the swing.
    • Golf grip: Most grips are made of rubber or synthetic rubber materials.
    Rubber
    Pros: Soft on hands
    Cons: Not very tacky
    Cord
Pros: Tacky and good wet weather playability
    Cons: Rough on hands
